“Visitings” is about transitions and time. This stairwell was taken from inside the “Funkhaus Wien,” which was once known as Österreichischer Rundfunk's broadcasting center and is the oldest broadcasting building in Austria. Windows, doorways, and stairwells are recurring symbols in Francesca’s work, as they represent the space in between. One realm cannot exist without the other, which offers an expansive effect in a painting. The two places represented offer different perspectives, perhaps. The translucent figure is standing in the middle of the stairwell - is it a ghost or a quickly moving figure? And this floating flower adds a surrealist element.
